알랭 질(Alain Gilles)은 '디자인'에 대한 애정으로 제2의 삶을 개척했다. 벨기에 브뤼셀 태생의 그는 정치학과 마케팅 경영학을 공부한 전공자다. 자연스럽게 국제 금융계에 발을 딛고 5년간 커리어를 쌓았지만, 그의 재능을 한눈에 알아본 아내의 지원에 힘입어 전혀 다른 길을 걷게 된다. 프랑스에서 산업 디자인 공부를 시작한 알랭 질은 제품·가구 디자인, 미술학, 인테리어와 건축에 대한 개인적인 연구에 몰두하며, 2007년 자신만의 스튜디오를 설립하기 이른다. 그의 타고난 재능과 노력은 2012년 인터리우르 코르트라이크 페어(Interieur Kortrijk Fair)의 '올해의 디자이너', 2013년 최고 디자인 어워드 '레드닷(Red dot)'의 '베스트 오브 더 베스트' 부문을 수상하는 등 결실을 맺었다. 일반적으로 그의 그래픽·건축 스타일은 역동적이지만 따뜻하고 생동감이 넘친다. 예술적이고 개념적인 작품이 결코 그 기능을 잃지 않도록 기민한 관심을 기울인 창조물을 선보이는 알랭 질은 전체적인 모양이나 색, 소재의 앙상블을 통해 사물의 남성적인 면과 여성적인 면, 그 사이 적절한 균형을 만든다. 그가 말하는 영감의 원천은 세 가지다. 프로젝트의 인적 상호 작용 또는 인간 중심적인 측면, 건축 및 구조적 측면, 마지막으로 프로젝트의 그래픽 측면 또는 프로젝트를 올바르게 읽고 이해할 수 있는 능력이다. 시간이 지남에 따라 진화할 수 있고 쉽게 기억할 수 있을 만큼 강렬한 디자인을 추구하는 그의 디자인 목표는 언젠가 클래식으로 남을 작품을 창조하고 선보이는 것이다.

The Ring suspensions are graphic and functional elements that play with full and hallow parts to bring a sense of dynamics and lightness to any interior. They bring greenery to interior space and have genuine natural acoustic properties. These Rings can be placed above a table or used to create large installations in wider architectural spaces.

In the case of the Mass table, the base has become a lightweight see-through element while, by comparison, the wooden tabletop has become a plain visual mass. In this way, the weight and visual weight of the elements have been inverted in comparison to the archetype. This is further emphasized by the visual gap created between the base and the tabletop thanks to a connecting element.

모듈식 스크린이다. 독립적인 금속 뼈대에 부착된 원형 이끼 패널로 구성되어 있으며, 여러 개의 스크린은 아랫부분을 서로 연결해 큰 전체 벽을 세울 수 있다.
The G-Screens are modular screens designed to be used as standalone elements or in
relation with one another to define new space within a space. They are circular moss-covered
panels attached to a free-standing metal framework that act as screens. The base
of the round screen is an oval shape that appears to be the deformed projection on the
ground of the circle screen, as if it were its shadow.

뚜껑 없이 대부분의 물건을 수납해 시야에서 가려지도록 하며, 주변 공간을 최대한 정돈할 수 있도록
돕는다. 이 디자인은 새로운 라이프스타일 방식과 습관을 고려해 만들어졌다.
Carry Away is a convenient pen holder that is large enough to hold bigger office accessories
and hide them virtually completely thanks to its high sides while keeping
them within easy reach. So they can just grab the handle and place the Carry Away
pen holder out of sight, on a shelf where it would remain easily accessible, or anywhere
else.
